“If you want to identify me, ask me not where I live, or what I like to eat, or how I comb my hair, but ask me what I am living for, in detail, ask me what I think is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for.”
― Thomas Merton
Your identity is not defined by your job, your hobbies, your favorite color, your favorite tv show, etc. It goes much deeper than that. Your identity is intertwined with your core essence. It is tied to your purpose in life…it goes to what drives you to get out of bed each day and fight the good fight. It is the one thing no one can ever take from you.

This was so deep! I love it! I was just thinking yesterday how I want to help my child form a healthy, non-worldly identity.
This made my morning!! Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I too want to encourage your child to grow to have a healthy understanding of oneself and to dream in color in a world that is so often broadcast in black and white.
Well said! Love it!
Thank you for reminding us of the real value of life.
Glad you enjoyed it!! I think we all need to continually remind ourselves of why we’re here and what really matters when you strip away the superficiality.
