The Sun will Rise

“The Sun will rise and set regardless. What we choose to do with the light while it’s here is up to us. Journey wisely.”

― Alexandra Elle

Each day is a new opportunity to try again, to start over. It is a chance to leave the baggage of yesterday where it belongs and begin again. It is the time to start a new story, a new journey. Most importantly, each day when the dawn breaks marks a pivotal moment when you have a choice to discover what it means to truly live or continue to merely exist.

Perspective

“People who are too optimistic seem annoying. This is an unfortunate misinterpretation of what an optimist really is.

An optimist is neither naive, nor blind to the facts, nor in denial of grim reality. An optimist believes in the optimal usage of all options available, no matter how limited. As such, an optimist always sees the big picture. How else to keep track of all that’s out there? An optimist is simply a proactive realist.

An idealist focuses only on the best aspects of all things (sometimes in detriment to reality); an optimist strives to find an effective solution. A pessimist sees limited or no choices in dark times; an optimist makes choices.

When bobbing for apples, an idealist endlessly reaches for the best apple, a pessimist settles for the first one within reach, while an optimist drains the barrel, fishes out all the apples and makes pie.

Annoying? Yes. But, oh-so tasty!”

― Vera Nazarian, The Perpetual Calendar of Inspiration

The amazing thing about life is the ability to choose your perspective. At all times, you get to choose from which lens you view life from. You can choose to only see the negative. Or, you can choose to see both the good and not so good aspects of life and work towards finding solutions to effect change for the greater good. As always, the choice is up to you.

The Choice is Yours

“You don’t have to live with whatever life throws you–or whatever you’ve gotten yourself into…
You can choose to Change Your Story!”

― Kirstin Leigh

At any moment you can decide that this isn’t how your story will end. You have control over what direction your life goes in. You can choose to accept what life throws at you or you can choose to be proactive to change your story. The choice is always yours.

Starting Over

“Starting over is an acceptance of a past we can’t change, an unrelenting conviction that the future can be different, and the stubborn wisdom to use the past to make the future what the past was not.”

― Craig D. Lounsbrough

Life is all about learning that you can’t change the past and that it’s okay to start over, to try again. For your past is meant to be a way to learn and grow so that you don’t repeat the same mistakes.

Start Anew

“We grow up with such an idealistic view on how our life should be; love, friendships, a career or even the place we will live ~ only to age and realise none of it is what you expected & reality is a little disheartening, when you’ve reached that realisation; you have learnt the gift of all, any new beginning can start now and if you want anything bad enough you’ll find the courage to pursue it with all you have. The past doesn’t have to be the future, stop making it so.”

― Nikki Rowe

Change is scary. But, the key is to never let fear or disenchantment prevent you from pursuing the life you want. You can start anew at any point in your life…it is never too late to change the ending of your story!! Find the courage and strength within yourself to go after what truly matters most to you.

Leave Your Comfort Zone

“You’ll reach a comfort zone in your life and start to wonder how you got there, how did you miss the sign posts that directed your real inner truth? Don’t feel so guilty, you know when your meant to know and I guess that’s the thing they don’t teach you; when growing up, pain is inevitable but staying the same is a choice. Don’t question why your feeling ready for something new, question why you stayed the same for so long.”

― Nikki Rowe

Know when it is time to move on…to stop holding onto what is safe or comfortable. For at some point, you’re going to have to be courageous enough to lose sight of the shore so that you can truly experience all that life has to offer.

Choose to Act

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.”

– Amelia Earhart

Sometimes in life you have to take a leap of faith into the unknown without knowing what awaits you on the other side. You have to take chances in order to move forward to create the life you desire. So, don’t be afraid to take the untrodden path and don’t look back from whence you came, for you aren’t going in that direction any longer.

Start Anew

“Spiritual growth involves giving up the stories of your past so the universe can write a new one.”

― Marianne Williamson, The Law of Divine Compensation: Mastering the Metaphysics of Abundance

Life is all about growth and embracing change. It’s about learning when to close the book on the stories of your past so that the story of your future can be written. For when you let go of the chains of yesterday, you make way for the blessings of today.

Vision and Action

Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world.

– Joel A. Barker

All change begins with a dream and vision of what could be. However, having a dream is only the beginning and you must take active steps to make your dream a reality. So never forget that to effect real change you must first have a vision for the future and then you must take action to bring your vision to life.

Choose Your Narrative

“The chief beauty about time
is that you cannot waste it in advance.
The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you,
as perfect, as unspoiled,
as if you had never wasted or misapplied
a single moment in all your life.
You can turn over a new leaf every hour
if you choose.”

― Arnold Bennett

At any moment, you have the power to say this isn’t how my story will end. You and you alone can decide right now to change the narrative. For the next hour or day of your life has yet to happen. So, don’t waste another second of your life being stuck or unhappy. Embrace the power of change.
