Keep Going

“That’s all you can do in this world, no matter how strong the current beats against you, or how heavy your burden, or how tragic your love story. You keep going.”

― Robyn Schneider

No matter how long the night, no matter how tired and beaten down you are, you keep pushing onward and never give up. You dig deep inside yourself and find the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other. And even though you may not be able to see it now, you will emerge on the other side of the storm. Just.Keep.Going.

Peace Comes From Within

“Some people think that a place can save them… Like if they could just be somewhere else, their lives would be totally different. They could finally be the people they always wanted to be. But to me, a place is just a place. If you really want things to change, you can make them change no matter where you are.”

― Hannah Harrington

How often have you found yourself saying, “If I had more money, a better job, a better house, etc. …I would be happy and could start living the life I always imagined and be the person I want to be.” Well, guess what, having all those things won’t magically fill the void and emptiness inside of you and make you happy. No, you must make the changes within and learn to find inner peace that transcends whatever circumstances you find yourself in.

Tough Times

“Sure it could get rough sometimes, but life wasn’t a Hollywood movie. Shit happened. You fought, you screamed, and somehow you worked like hell to get out the other side still intact.”

― Samantha Young

Life isn’t a fairytale. It’s filled with pain and struggles. And you will have to fight hard to make it through the rough and turbulent times. However, it is often these moments where you had to claw your way out of a fathomless pit that define who you are. So, never wish away any of your scars; rather, use your past struggles to prepare for the rough waters that lay ahead.

Imagine No Limits

“Imagine no limitations; decide what’s right and desirable before you decide what’s possible.”

― Brian Tracy

Your life is full of limitless possibilities. All you have to do is believe, because the only person who can limit you is you. Allow yourself to dream, allow yourself to yearn for the stars and most importantly allow yourself to go after what you most desire. For one day you will learn that there is no such thing as the impossible.

Never Stop

“Never stop just because you feel defeated. The journey to the other side is attainable only after great suffering.”

― Santosh Kalwar, Quote Me Everyday

No one ever said things were going to be easy. No, your journey will likely be fraught with pain, suffering, and winding roads. There will be many times when you get defeated and are too tired to carry on. But it is during these darkest hours that you must hold on for just a little longer, for that is often the moment the tide will change.

Believe

“I can see it. This one moment when you know you’re not a sad story. You’re alive. And you stand up and see the lights and the buildings and everything that makes you wonder. And you’re listening to that song in that drive with the people you love most in this world. And in this moment I swear… we are infinite.”

― Stephen Chbosky

Open your eyes and truly allow yourself to see the world. See the beauty surrounding you, breathe in the miracle of life. You are so much more than you give yourself credit for. If you truly believe in a limitless future, your life will be full of infinite possibilities. Let go of the chains of doubt that are holding you back and break free so you can fly.

Shine Your Light

“It is when we think we can act like God, that all respect is lost, and I think this is the downfall of peace. We lie if we say we do not see color and culture and difference. We fool ourselves and cheat ourselves when we say that all of us are the same. We should not want to be the same as others and we should not want others to be the same as us. Rather, we ought to glory and shine in all of our differences, flaunting them fabulously for all to see! It is never a conformity that we need! We need not to conform! What we need is to burst out into all these beautiful colors!”

― C. JoyBell C.

You are beautiful just the way you are. You don’t need to conform to the definitions society gives you. Your individuality is what makes you unique and special. We were each put on this Earth to shine our own light. Don’t compare yourself to others; rather, embrace who you are.

From Within

“Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.”

― Og Mandino

Don’t look outside yourself for happiness and fulfillment because this can only be found within. Happiness and fulfillment doesn’t come from material things, for life is not about what you get; rather, life is all about what you give.

Your Struggles

“One time I saw a tiny Joshua tree sapling growing not too far from the old tree. I wanted to dig it up and replant it near our house. I told Mom that I would protect it from the wind and water it every day so that it could grow nice and tall and straight. Mom frowned at me. “You’d be destroying what makes it special,” she said. “It’s the Joshua tree’s struggle that gives it its beauty.”

― Jeannette Walls, The Glass Castle

Never forget that the person staring back at you in the mirror was forged from the struggles you have endured. Every crack, scrape, bruise and scar is an important part of your story – a story that is uniquely your own. So, never wish away a part of who you are.

The Winding Road

“Life is not a straight line leading from one blessing to the next and then finally to heaven. Life is a winding and troubled road. Switchback after switchback. And the point of biblical stories like Joseph and Job and Esther and Ruth is to help us feel in our bones (not just know in our heads) that God is for us in all these strange turns. God is not just showing up after the trouble and cleaning it up. He is plotting the course and managing the troubles with far-reaching purposes for our good and for the glory of Jesus Christ.”

― John Piper

Life is a winding road filled with many ups and downs. It’s not meant to be easy or even to make sense. It’s about having faith that everything will work out in the end.
